South East Wine Co. – Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for cocktail bartenders, sommeliers, mobile bars, champagne towers and any other services provided by South East Wine Co (ABN: 67 936 805 059).

By paying a deposit or making full payment, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.


2. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices listed on the South East Wine Co. website are inclusive of GST.
  • Prices may be updated without prior notice to reflect increases in labour, supplier costs or other industry-related expenses.
  • Written quotations are based on the information supplied at the time of enquiry and remain valid for seven (7) days unless otherwise stated.
  • A 25% deposit is required to secure all bookings.
  • If the outstanding balance has not been received by the due date, South East Wine Co. reserves the right to suspend or cancel the booking without further notice. If payment is received after cancellation, South East Wine Co. cannot guarantee staff or equipment availability.
  • A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit or full payment has been received.

3. Travel Fees

Travel fees apply per staff member or per delivery for mobile bar and champagne tower hire.

4. Event Requirements

  • Cocktail selections must be finalised at least 10 days prior to the event.
  • There is no reduced fee for mocktail-only service, as premium non-alcoholic ingredients incur similar costs to alcoholic ingredients.
  • Clients are responsible for advising South East Wine Co. of any dietary requirements or allergies, including but not limited to nuts, eggs, dairy, gluten and shellfish, prior to the event.
  • Clients are responsible for providing sufficient alcohol, mixers, garnishes and ice unless otherwise agreed.

5. Champagne Tower Hosts

RSA-certified hosts are available to assist with champagne tower service, including bottle preparation, pouring (or assisting with the ceremonial pour), guest service and dismantling the tower after the event.

Host hire rates are:

  • Monday to Saturday: $80 per hour
  • Sunday: $90 per hour
  • Public Holidays: $110 per hour

A minimum booking of three (3) hours applies.

Travel fees may apply in addition to delivery charges.

Host service is not available for 4, 5 or 6 Tier Champagne Towers.

If a champagne tower is required to be assembled during active event service, host charges will apply.


6. Cancellations

  • The 25% booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • If the outstanding balance has not been paid by the due date (28 days prior to the event), South East Wine Co. reserves the right to cancel the booking without notice. Any monies already paid will be forfeited.
  • If the client cancels their booking after the final payment due date, no refund will be provided.
  • South East Wine Co. assumes the client has obtained permission to host the event at the nominated venue.
  • If an event is held at an Airbnb or similar short-term accommodation without the owner's approval and is cancelled before or during the event, no refund will be issued.

7. Postponements

  • Events postponed 28 days or more before the event date may be transferred to a new available date at no additional charge.
  • Events postponed fewer than 28 days before the event will be treated as a cancellation. The booking deposit will be forfeited and a new booking will require a new deposit.

8. Refusal of Service

South East Wine Co. reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where:

  • Sexually explicit entertainment or gambling activities are taking place.
  • Illegal drugs are present or being consumed.
  • Working conditions are unsafe due to weather, venue conditions or any other hazard.
  • Guests behave aggressively, abusively or inappropriately towards staff.
  • Staff are prevented from complying with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) obligations.

In accordance with the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 (Victoria):

  • Alcohol will not be served to intoxicated persons.
  • Alcohol will not be served to persons under 18 years of age, regardless of parental consent.

Clients must provide staff with a safe, sheltered and suitable workspace protected from excessive heat, rain or strong winds.

South East Wine Co. reserves the right to cease service where working conditions become unsafe.


9. Glassware & Equipment

Minor breakages are expected during normal service.

Replacement charges will only apply where five (5) or more glasses are broken, lost or not returned.

If a champagne tower collapses due to client or guest interference, negligence or accidental impact, the client will be responsible for the replacement cost of all damaged glassware and equipment.


10. Liability

While every reasonable care is taken during service, South East Wine Co. accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from the use of its equipment, including champagne towers, except where required by law.

The client accepts responsibility for ensuring that guests behave safely around hired equipment and indemnifies South East Wine Co. against claims arising from guest misuse or negligence.

South East Wine Co. is not responsible for damage to venue property caused by guests or circumstances outside its reasonable control.


11. Website & Online Payments

  • This website is intended for persons aged 18 years or older.
  • Payments may be made using the payment methods available at checkout or via bank transfer where offered.
  • South East Wine Co. reserves the right to update its pricing, services, website content and these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.

12. Force Majeure

South East Wine Co. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, pandemic, government restrictions, industrial action, road closures, vehicle breakdown, power outages or any other unforeseen event that prevents the booking from proceeding as planned.

Where reasonably possible, South East Wine Co. will work with the client to reschedule the booking to a mutually agreeable date.


13. Photography & Marketing

From time to time, South East Wine Co. may take photographs or videos of cocktails, bar setups, champagne towers or event styling for marketing purposes.

Every effort will be made to avoid capturing identifiable guests. If the client does not wish any photographs or videos to be taken or used, they must notify South East Wine Co. in writing prior to the event.


14. Equipment Damage

The client is responsible for ensuring that all hired equipment is treated with reasonable care throughout the event.

Any loss of, theft of, or damage to equipment beyond normal wear and tear caused by the client or their guests may incur repair or replacement charges. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile bars, cocktail equipment, bar tools, refrigeration, signage, champagne tower components and glassware.


15. Staff Safety

South East Wine Co. is committed to providing a safe workplace for its staff.

Abusive, threatening, violent or discriminatory behaviour towards any South East Wine Co. team member will not be tolerated.

If staff reasonably believe their safety is at risk, they reserve the right to cease service and leave the venue immediately. In such circumstances, no refund or compensation will be provided.


16. Parking & Venue Access

The client is responsible for providing suitable access for loading and unloading equipment.

Where free parking is unavailable, any parking costs, including public parking stations or venue parking fees, will be payable by the client.

If stairs, lifts with restricted access, long walking distances or other venue access limitations are not disclosed before the event, South East Wine Co. reserves the right to charge additional labour fees where reasonable.


17. Website & Online Payments

  • This website is intended for use by persons aged 18 years and over.
  • Payments may be made using the payment methods available at checkout or via bank transfer where offered.
  • South East Wine Co. reserves the right to amend its pricing, services, website content and these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.

18. Additional Service Time

The booked service concludes at the agreed finish time stated on the booking confirmation.

If the client requests South East Wine Co. staff to remain beyond the booked finish time, additional service will be provided subject to staff availability.

Additional time will be charged in 30-minute increments at the applicable hourly rate for the service provided (Cocktail Bartender, Sommelier or Champagne Tower Host). Payment for additional service time may be requested before staff depart the venue or invoiced following the event.

South East Wine Co. reserves the right to decline requests to extend service where staff availability, fatigue management or venue restrictions prevent additional working hours.
